Cyr is a vampire slayer who was adopted into a family of vampire slayers when he was a child after losing his biological parents in a vampire attack. Cyr's restrictive and isolated upbringing has made it difficult for him to connect with people and navigate the world when vampire hunting isn't involved. To outsiders he can come off as intimidating or offputting with his quietness and curt way of speaking but he is a thoughtful and pensive person beneath that rough exterior. It wasn't until he met half-vampire Desmond that he gained a new perspective on humanity, vampire hunting, and friendship.
